Agreed. In fact couldn't agree more. *violent head-nodding*
If marketing has helped people learn how to consume we have an obligation to help people look at things differently, for the common good. There's a purpose waiting to be uncovered within every business – you just got to look a little deeper, ask the right questions and then do something about it.
Which is why we'd like the big thinkers to do some BIG doing. We're inviting Campaign and all the big thinkers and listeners to contribute time and energy to act on this. Pick a cause and do something tangible to make a difference.
Go to our blog and read about our little idea for some big doing.

And let us know what you think.
Agree. I was at the quietriot event hosted by sense on Wednesday night where one of the speakers was Hugo Spowers, Founder of Riversimple. He argued that we can't have a sustainable industrialised society based on the sale of product. We need a shift to sale of service.
Keeping what we have working for longer is one way to achieve a fundamental change which can make some difference. But with a global economy based on consumption the change is going to be massive battle, meeting with resitance from many and being painful for most of us in the developed world.
im wondering where you got the idea to completely dilute the message of the matrix into some kind of cheap marketing speech?
i love the bit at 5m 26s in when you just couldnt keep up with your slurry of words and messed up.
